The mobile phone traced a beautiful arc through the air, crashed against the car window, bounced back, and fell to the ground with a crisp sound.

The Lincoln dashed like lightning and soon arrived at the hospital.
Li Beijue, with his handsome face accompanied by the biting cold wind, quickly walked towards the hospital. He kicked open the ward door where Si Chen and Huo Yi were inside.
“Where is Chi Enen?”
That woman dared to break her promises—she agreed to call him and didn’t even pick up his calls; she truly had the courage of a bear and the audacity of a leopard.
Huo Yi and Si Chen, upon seeing him, were first shocked, then both their faces revealed an expression of surprised urgency as they stood up.
“Master Jue.”
“Beijue, you came back just in time. Please convince Enen. If you hadn’t come back, I would have thought about knocking her out.”
Knocking Chi Enen unconscious?
Li Beijue furrowed his brows, his anger subsiding slightly, “What happened?”
Si Chen cut to the chase, explaining that Nuonuo had been missing for two days. Chi Enen hadn’t slept or eaten, and had been frantically searching for someone. He continued, “Enen hasn’t eaten for two days nor rested. I can see she looks very pale and is physically on the brink. Even if she doesn’t eat, she needs to rest immediately. Huo Yi and I have tried talking to her, but she wouldn’t listen to us. Please go see her.”
Nuonuo was missing?
Chi Enen had been ceaselessly awake for two days and two nights?
Li Beijue hadn’t expected so much to have happened just within the short span of two days he was away. Now, he didn’t feel like getting mad at Chi Enen for not answering his calls anymore. His eyebrows knotted tightly, and his falcon-like eyes almost freezing as he stared at Si Chen’s face, “How could Nuonuo disappear? Is there still no news at all?”
Si Chen felt guilty, as a big man guarding the hospital, he let his friend’s child be taken, giving him a feeling of shame.
But since it had happened, even if he was shamefaced, he still had to face it, “A woman disguised as a hospital nurse used a trolley to hide and take the child out. I’m sorry, Beijue. I wasn’t watchful enough over Nuonuo. There’s no news for the time being…”
Li Beijue’s rage surged, almost murderous.
He glanced at the two men in the ward with bloodshot eyes. Without a word, he turned and quickly walked to where Chi Enen was—
Chi Enen had been staying in Nuonuo’s ward since the day Nuonuo disappeared.
The door to the ward was tightly shut. Li Beijue knocked twice, but no one opened the door from the inside. Losing patience, he kicked open the room door.
The room was much cleaner and tidier than he had imagined, but the little lady sitting in front of the computer had gotten distinctly thinner in just the span of two days. Her chin, which had finally gained some flesh, was now sharply defined, and her lips, above which there was no trace of color, were almost transparent.
