Chapter 681: Chapter 681: Took a few photos of him
Chi Enen ate while covertly observing his dining etiquette.
The more she watched, the more she felt a disparity.
She had to admit, no matter what he was like normally, once he sat at the dining table, his aristocratic birth shone through instantaneously.
Each gesture and movement was even more exemplary than those of aristocrats in television dramas. He was eating pork ribs, a dish not easy to eat gracefully, yet he managed to do so with such elegance and perfection that it looked like he was enjoying a gourmet meal. His impeccable etiquette was faultless from every angle!
With such an air of etiquette, even a person of average looks would be dazzling.
Moreover, he was extremely handsome, with fluid lines contouring his face as if chiseled with a knife, deep and sharp, yet not so harsh as to create a strong sense of distance.
From his forehead to his well-defined jawline, everything about him was perfectly handsome.
Such beauty, combined with an overall aura of quality, made it hard to not take notice of this man.
Suddenly, Chi Enen whipped out her iPad and took a snapshot in his direction.
âWhat are you doing?â The man, who had been dining with impeccable manners, lifted his head, breaking the aristocratic dining rules, and his phoenix eyes fell on her, furrowing his eyebrows.
Chi Enen shook the iPad in her hand and, smiling, stuck out her tongue, âTaking a photo.â
As if anticipating what he would say, Chi Enen hastened to explain, âBecause just now, you looked exceptionally handsome for a moment. I couldnât help but take one.â
ââ¦â The cold-faced manâs handsome face darkened, suddenly feeling the urge to strangle her.
What did she mean by he looked exceptionally handsome just now? Was he ugly in her eyes normally?
Seizing the opportunity, Chi Enen took a few more snaps of him, cherishingly saving each photo, then set aside the iPad and picked up her chopsticks to start eating again, âIâm so hungryâ¦â
Li Beijueâs eyebrows were furrowed so tightly they could have trapped a fly. He clenched his jaw and looked at Chi Enen with renewed scrutiny.
Chi Enen knew he was watching her and also knew that her action of taking his picture with the iPad was abrupt, but she couldnât be concerned with that. A year and a half was too long; she treasured the time remaining and wanted to keep as much about him as possible.
And photos were the best way to do that.
So even though she knew her action was abrupt, she still went ahead with it.
Chi Enen was candid about her actions, hence she behaved quite naturally.
Although Li Beijueâs frown deepened, he didnât detect anything amiss. He assumed she still hadnât given up on the idea of having a child. He emphasized once again coldly, âChi Enen, donât think about the child anymore! We still donât know the gender, thereâs no need for you to overthink. When the time comes, it is not your concern. I will be the one making decisions, and if she is to hate, it will be me, not you!â
Chi Enenâs heart clenched, âI understand.â
âEat, werenât you hungry?â Li Beijue picked up a piece of pork rib and placed it in her bowl; he seemed to think it was not enough, so he added some green vegetables as well.
Chi Enenâs bowl already had a piece of pork rib, and with his haphazard piling, her bowl quickly became a precarious mound, nearly overflowing. Hurriedly, she took back her bowl to prevent him from adding more, âThatâs enough.â
She wasnât a pig, after all.
âDrink some soup after you finish eating.â He clearly wanted to add more to her bowl, and commandingly added, âTry to eat another bowl. Recently, youâve been so skinny, thereâs no feeling when I touch you!â
