Jiaojiao herself has been looking forward to this day.
Heaven knows how much she drools every time she sees the exquisite meat dishes on the table. If it weren’t for the need to maintain a cat’s face, her drool could have flowed three thousand feet!
So, early this morning, she first took care of her physiological needs, didn’t even bother to wash her small furry face, and without waiting for Xiu Xi who was still washing up, she crawled down from the bed by hooking onto the bedsheet, and slid down from the small slide Grandpa Shu specially made for her, straight from the second floor to the first floor.
Downstairs, Grandpa Shu had just come in from practicing a set of Tai Chi outside. As soon as he came in, he saw Jiaojiao sliding down the slide and immediately broke into a wide smile.
"Little sweetie is up." To avoid accidentally calling out Jiaojiao’s name and arousing suspicion, Grandpa Shu mimicked Ruan Jianguo by calling her little sweetie, little darling, or other similar nicknames.
After half a month of getting along, Jiaojiao had already accepted this overly sweet old man. She found that the old man, aside from occasionally disliking her dad, really had no other faults, especially towards her. He was unbelievably good, almost wishing he could pluck the stars from the sky for her.
And now when the old man saw her, his smile was full of endearing charm as he bent down, wanting to pick her up. But Jiaojiao had already caught the scent of fish soup, so she quickly trotted towards the kitchen on her little legs.
Grandpa Shu didn’t mind not holding the cat, he happily trotted in after her.
Ruanlin Family had just brought down the fish soup and was planning to use a small porcelain bowl to scoop out a bowl first. When it cooled off enough, it would be put into Jiaojiao’s little milk bottle. But upon looking up, they saw Jiaojiao and asked with a smile, "Did little sweetie come over because of the smell?"
"Meow~" Yes, yes, it smells so good.
Jiaojiao answered softly, placing her little paw on the stove wall, bouncing to try to see the things on the table. Unfortunately, the table was really too high for her, let alone seeing clearly, she couldn’t even see the shadow.
The Ruanlin Family was amused by her action and quickly bent down to pick her up, placing her on the stove, softly coaxing, "It’s still very hot now, don’t go too close, be careful not to burn yourself. Sit here for a while, and I’ll scoop a bowl for you to blow and cool down, okay?"
"Meow meow meow." Okay, okay, okay.
Afraid that she couldn’t see her nodding, Jiaojiao nodded so vigorously her little head almost bobbed off.
The Ruanlin Family couldn’t help but chuckle again, turning to get a small bowl from the cupboard, knowing she probably couldn’t wait for it to go into the little milk bottle, and also took a spoon, intending to feed her a bit first.
She took two bowls out at once and also served a bowl for Grandpa Shu.
Even though crucian carp is the cheapest fish, its meat is tender, and the soup boiled from it is milky white, rich in nutrients, and high in protein, enhancing resistance. It is suitable for the elderly, children, and women.
Grandpa Shu is not someone who likes to drink soups, thinking they are too feminine, but now to drink the same thing as Jiaojiao, without a word, he started using the spoon to drink.
He didn’t expect it to be very tasty, and as soon as he drank it, his eyes lit up.
"Jiaojiao’s grandma, this is really good." He gave a big thumbs up and generously praised.
"If you like it, drink more. There’s quite a bit in the pot. Everyone can have two bowls." Ruanlin Family smiled, lowering their head to cool the fish soup in the spoon for Jiaojiao.
