Chapter 743: *Come on, stop staring at me like that*

Moreover, the weapons he could craft with this ore would be very powerful in the hands of Mages like Sora or Alan. After Tullium, this ore was the best by far for the Mages who could fight with weapons.
As Connor was using his ability to liquefy some of this ore and change it into the weapons he knew to test it, he wondered if there was a limit to his ability. Derek, on the other side, busied himself sorting out all the magical bags they had just received.
After checking that there was no issue using this ore with his ability, Connor told Derek as he solidified the high-grade Damantium, "My love, could you please set aside all the high-grade Verarium, Trinium, and Acrium we have so that I can estimate how many weapons I could craft for them? We have quite a few powerful Mages on our side now; this Damantium and Tullium could greatly enhance their strength."
Derek was well aware of this, so he replied, without hesitation, "Do not worry, sweetheart. I have already planned to set aside the ores according to their value with the new formulas we received. Everything will be organized so that you can have a better view of what ores you can use and how many weapons you can craft with them."
Connor smiled and said to him, admiration filling his heart, "You are truly the best!"
Derek chuckled, shaking his head helplessly. Connor just didn’t like to spend time organizing things properly. Even though Derek had proven to him many times that taking just 30 minutes to organize would save much more time later, he knew Connor’s focus was elsewhere. He then said, "Just concentrate on creating the Tullium ore; I will take care of the rest for you!"
Both of them had always complemented each other, which was why their bond and love for each other never changed. In fact, he could only love Connor more, never less. He also knew that if anything happened to Connor this time, he wouldn’t be able to survive it. As their boys had grown into such great leaders, they wouldn’t need him anymore, so the promise he made to Connor back then was rendered null.
While watching Connor focus on the next step, melting the large Divine-grade magic crystals in the cauldron one after another, Derek’s heart raced with desire. He had to use all his willpower not to disturb Connor in his task, so he focused back on his own work. Tonight, he would have all the time he wanted to explore every inch of Connor’s body and please him until Connor begged him to stop.
As Derek looked at Connor with burning eyes filled with passion, Connor suddenly said, "Come on, stop staring at me like that; otherwise, I won’t be able to focus. If I fail to make this Tullium and end up with another ore that’s less powerful, it will be your fault!"
Derek smirked and replied, "Okay! But hurry up and make it; I won’t be able to hold back for long!"
Connor smiled and said, "Be good! It shouldn’t take too much time."
But when Connor liquefied the high-grade Damantium and tried to mix it with so many Divine-grade magic crystals, he felt for the first time that making the Tullium wouldn’t be so easy. His carefree aura suddenly changed, and one hundred percent of his focus was now on the task at hand.
After an hour and a half, Connor finally finished mixing the high-grade Damantium with the Divine magic crystals. When he stopped, even though he wanted to continue, he couldn’t. His body wavered, and if it hadn’t been for Derek’s quick reflexes, he would have collapsed on the floor.
As his vision darkened and he was about to lose consciousness, he felt Derek pouring potions into his mouth. The first one was a legendary-grade healing potion to replenish Connor’s nearly depleted energy reserves. Then Derek gave him another remedy to combat his mental fatigue and help him stabilize his condition.
Derek waited anxiously, but within just a minute, he noticed that the pallor in Connor’s face was beginning to fade, replaced by a hint of color. He let out a sigh of relief, and after another five minutes, Connor finally opened his eyes.
Connor then looked at Derek and said in a weak voice, "Damn, I won’t be able to do it with my current strength. Help me, my love."
Derek frowned, not wanting Connor to exhaust himself again to this point. But before he could tell him to forget about crafting the Tullium ore, Connor said, still weak but with a determination that surprised Derek, "Take me to the purple towers. I need to increase my reserve of chakra. The sooner, the better."
Derek hadn’t anticipated this outcome, but he was finally pleased. These towers would be a great help for Connor, and he had wanted to bring him there anyway. So he said to him, "Okay, but rest first."
He added then, "Connor, even though I want to help you increase your strength, we’ll go to the purple tower only when someone powerful enough to shield you against its psychic attacks is available."
Connor nodded slowly and said, "If I had known earlier that I would need so much energy to create this ore, I would have gone to the towers sooner."
Derek caressed his hair while saying, "We still have time; it’s not too late, so don’t focus on negative thoughts and rest. You won’t get an increase in your energy reserves for free. The purple power is a challenging place. Even though I can help you pass through the first five levels, and with the help of someone else, we can reach the eighth floor, you’ll need to fight your best to get what you want."
Connor smiled weakly and said to him, confidence filling his voice, "With you by my side, everything will be fine. I refused to go before because I didn’t feel the need to get stronger, but now I don’t even have a choice."
