Professor Arnold had rushed toward Dekan with his fastest speed.
He discovered that Dekan was not moving at all. He stood there with his hands behind his back and an indifferent expression on his face.
He gave off the air of an exceptional expert.
Arnold was a bit confused by this.
While it was true that Arnold had increased the difficulty for Dekan’s exam, he believed that it was still conforming to the rules of the exam.
As such, it was not a violation.
“Where’s your weapon?”
Feeling slightly guilty, Arnold did not directly attack Dekan.
Dekan didn’t answer. Instead, he raised the distinctive lolita doll in his right hand and waved it.
It seemed like he had no intention of forfeiting the match.
Professor Arnold started frowning.

After saying that, Arnold raised the silver sword he held in his hand and slashed straight down.
A chilling aura of death immediately engulfed Dekan.
Under such a distance, it was impossible for him to dodge the incoming attack!
But, Dekan had no intention of dodging at all.
He was waiting for this moment!
He had been placing his left hand behind his back the entire time. In that hand was a magic card.
It was his trump card.
It was also the core component of his deck, the card that would bring forth his victory!
The moment Dekan poured his magic power into the card, an overflowing dazzling orange light engulfed him!
A ray of light suddenly shot forth and formed a golden totem in midair.
The magic card Dekan was holding in his left hand had disappeared and materialized itself.
Although it was not his first time summoning this card, Dekan was still able to sense the terrifying power emitted by the card.

What followed was a black mist overflowing with a strange aura.
The black mist rushed toward the surface. Like a tide, it spread all around and covered the ground completely.
The core of this black mist was right behind Dekan!
A man emitting an intense aura of the dead slowly emerged from the black mist.
He held in his hand a book that emitted a faint green light.
Sorrow filled his face. A mourning voice could soon be heard.
“This boundless fog is my boundless grief…”

Cries of shock and alarm filled the spectators’ area! They were in an utter panic!
“This special effect, could it be an Epic card?!”
“My god! Is it really an Orange Epic?!”
“Isn’t it too excessive to bring an Epic card to an entrance exam?!”
“Who is he? Some sort of wealthy young master coming here to experience life?”
Even when Orange Epic cards would appear, they would generally only appear when watching people of stature.

As the sword struck on Dekan’s chest, 15 times of pain was sent back to Professor Arnold.

Dekan heaved a sigh of relief.
Fortunately the examiner completely fainted and he didn’t have to do anything more.
Not long after, he saw the message notification.

For a tier 3 individual, the sum cannot be more than 30.
In other words, if Dekan was to carry only tier 2 cards with him, he could only bring with him 10 cards.
If he was to bring some tier 1 cards, he would be able to bring more than 10 cards.
The ‘cost’ of using lower tier cards was less.
That was the reason why some high quality low tier cards would still be used when one’s tier reached high level.
As for Dekan, he used only three cards to clear the entrance exam.

Dekan felt that since there were so many examinees taking the exam at the same time and that his exam only lasted for over a minute when adding on the preparation time, he should only be on the broadcast screen for a brief moment.
He believed that he would, at most, appear in one or two camera shots.
Humming a tune, he started to quickly walk toward the exit.
He discovered that Theresia was already waiting for him by the exit.
She was panting. It seemed like she ran over here.
She looked around in worry. After confirming that there was no one else paying attention over here, she grabbed Dekan’s hand and started running, dragging him.
“Hey hey! Theresia, what’s going on?”
Although Dekan was at a loss as to what was going on, he still followed Theresia and started running.
