So there was nothing noteworthy on our way back and we returned to the Magistrate’s residence.

I don’t quite get it, but if I imagine what it is I want to make, and pick up the various ingredients needed, I kinda get an idea as to what materials I need. This, at first, I thought it was because my skill level had increased, but I feel like it’s probably something different, somehow. It’s probably just me, but I think it’s because [Creation Magic] and [Analyze] are interacting nicely. No, there wasn’t a particular reason, it was just a feeling. It’s sort of like a hunch, that’s what it felt like.
Anyways, although we made it back to the Magistrate’s residence, we decided to leave early. You see, everyone seemed busy with reports, cleaning and whatnot, and we have been here for about a week now.
Jan seemed like he wanted me to help him transport the materials for the Black Viper to the Lord’s residence, but there were reasons not to, such as leaving work for the laborers who came to do their job and ensuring that money was circulating for the people of the territory, so we weren’t asked to stay. It must be tough for the ruling class… Maybe it’s not so bad for serious people if they do the job properly… However, compared to transporting goods from deep in the mountains, the roads in the plains are fairly well maintained, so it’s still better.
But it seemed like Jan’s main reason was that he wanted to have more fun with Arisa, rather than transporting items. He really was a battle junkie…
Arisa seemed reluctant to accept another match with Jan, so we took her and returned to the village.
Hmm, we should probably leave immediately, else they’ll likely keep asking us to celebrate with them.
And when we returned to the Village Chief, he stopped us, as expected. Well, free food is appreciated, so we decided to take him up on his offer. However, they’ll be serving wild boar steaks, which they only serve on special occasions, so it made me a little excited.
The celebration was quite a success. Or rather, it was a big fuss. It seems that among the 30 soldiers who went on the subjugation, several were from this village, and it seems that some of them were allowed to go home temporarily due to labour recruitment and other matters. By the way, Arisa voluntarily participated in the subjugation story telling. Although she didn’t earn any personal military achievement this time, and it was a small-scale battle, it was her first time participating in a group battle, which she found fun. She had learned a lot from the experience, and apparently wanted to hear directly from the soldiers who had participated. During the subjugation, Arisa had been watching from the side-lines, and expressed her impressions of the soldier’s movements from her point of view; she ended up talking about various things with the other soldiers.

Alcoholic beverages such as vodka and gin, I already made using wheat and potatoes. High-concentration alcohol can also be used as a disinfectant, and has many other uses.
…Yeah, naturally, I’ve also prepared distilled liquor. Like whiskey or brandy. The aging rate is increased by using [Creation Magic], so 20 year old bottles actually exist already. But, I’ve never seen any distilled alcohol either, it may turn quite dangerous if I put these out into the public. It might just be a coincidence that I’ve never seen them though.

As for its use, it’s to help address what Mina was worried about, regarding Anna’s breastfeeding. To briefly explain, it uses magic to enhance medical properties, promotes the secretion of breast milk and magically relieves blockages in the mammary glands.
By the way, it’s quite effective and is intended to be diluted before use. If taken undiluted, you’ll end up producing an insane amount of breast milk for a few days, so be careful. The idea of Ren getting drunk sounds terrifying. She’ll end up getting black out drunk and waking up in the royal capital in her magic armor with her house crashed sideways through the wall. Half the city will be frozen over with ice magic, and Neil will be passed out next to her with no pants on and a bottle shoved up his a̲s̲s̲. I kinda can’t wait until she turns 15.
Also some trivia, at least as far as I’ve been running this through the translation machine, that last moment when Ren remarks that Lily grew up seems to be the first time she’s stuck no honorific on the end of her name. Why would I note that? In case it’s the start of improved friendship. The first instance was right here.
