Cultivation Struggles of a Lowly Fox

The courtyard was split into zones.
The outer wall. The outer garden. The middle wall. The middle courtyard. The inner wall. The inner courtyard had a hot spring.
The outer garden was littered with traps, while the middle courtyard was for enlightenment. The inner courtyard was for relaxation and rest.
Each of them had its own beauty.
The garden sang with green grass and beautiful colours, while trees provided shade for rest and cultivation.
The middle courtyard had Runes floating around to help someone reach Enlightenment or Epiphany. It was a place where you should comprehend the Runes.
The inner courtyard was made for rest and relaxation. You will find gentle scents floating around in the air, but no Runes or anything that would stimulate one's mind.
However, all places were the same for Aiko, since she could see Runes even in the innermost courtyard.
"And this leads to the baths." The guard leader gestured. "If you will excuse me, I will just check-"
"There is someone inside. You should bring more men." Moon Aiko interrupted him, making him put a guard up.
"How many?" The guard leader already admired this girl, even though she was a Fox.
That was because... well, they did like to tease them and create absurd nicknames. There was no lust in their words or actions.
Sure, the 'black' Fox was a seductress, but it was not like that seduction was aimed at them.
"Just one, but strong." Moon Aiko would do her best to protect Danji, but the rest was up to them.
The leader immediately burned some kind of Talisman.
"Why are you disturbing-" Chen Shi appeared out of nowhere, but his eyes immediately trained on the hot spring.
"Stay here." Chen Shi commanded as he walked inside.
Poison immediately burst forth and wrapped around his body.
"HAHAHAHHAHA! BASTARD! YOU DIDN'T EXPECT THIS, HUH?!" A haughty laughter resounded from within, and a shrivelled corpse walked out of the hot spring.
"How lame..." Chen Shi spoke softly as all the poison was sucked towards him.
"Are you crazy?!" The shrivelled corpse yelled out. "You could've survived if you didn't take that poison into your body!"
The shrivelled corpse clicked its tongue before training its eyes on the Foxes.
The shrivelled corpse smiled like a lunatic. "Well, well~-"
*Boom*
"Seriously." Chen Shi rubbed his nose bridge. Thanks to these bastards, he has so much paperwork that it's killing him.
The poison that was in the air was wrapped in a bead.
Moon Aiko was shocked since she could remember this looked similar to what Witch Aiko did inside their body.
Chen Shi was completely unharmed. That powerful poison that melted everything around him couldn't even touch his clothes.
"Here. You can take it once you are confident." Chen Shi handed that poisonous bead to Aiko.
"Thank you." Moon Aiko was quite happy since she would be able to strengthen the foundation of her physique with this.

"Rewind." He rewinded the time until this courtyard was completely filled with Qi, as if it were the first day this place was built. Everything was pristine and new, and it even smelled like that.

Moon Aiko felt slightly dizzy, since she could feel all the surrounding Runes resonating.
Danji supported her, but didn't dare to speak. She was in a similar boat to Aiko, but that was because she could feel those energies swirling around them.
One wrong move, and they would turn to dust. That's how serious it was.
"This should be good. There will be no traps or poisons lying dormant, so enjoy your time." Chen Shi spoke softly. It felt like he was being subservient to Aiko.
"Activate... [Supreme Slaughter Array]" Chen Shi sighed softly as the world within the vicinity was cut in half.
"You crazy-" The shrivelled corpse couldn't even protect its Soul as it was shredded into nothingness.
Moon Aiko fainted from observing all the surrounding changes.
"Aiko?!" Danji was shocked, but it didn't seem like Aiko was unwell...? Then what happened?
"She was overloaded by Runes." Chen Shi spoke softly, as not even ashes remained after he was done with him. "It's because she only studied one path of Runes, but not the others." He explained to the gorgeous Fox so that she wouldn't misunderstand.
"She will be fine after she rests for a bit." Chen Shi stepped into the void and disappeared. There was only one traitor left, and he was already inside the prison, so this whole situation was finished.
Danji pursed her lips, but still guided Aiko into a nearby room.
The bed was impressive, but even the flooring was nice and warm, so she placed Aiko on the floor, lifting her head onto her lap.
The warm flooring helped Aiko stabilise, and she was snoozing happily.
"We will be going now." The leader cupped his fists, not even looking at them. That kind of beauty was poisonous to one's heart, and if he took just a glance, he would think about them until the day he died... which he simply couldn't afford.
"Thank you for guiding us around." Danji smiled softly.
"You are welcome, dear guests." The guard smiled before turning around. "We will be guarding the perimeter, so please rest easy."
"Please do." Danji smiled at him. She quite liked his stature. She would ask Aiko to make him healthier, so more humans like him lived on.

Moon Aiko woke up in a few hours with a painful headache. She immediately turned into Witch Aiko so that she wouldn't think about what just happened.
"Are you alright?" Danji gently wiped her burning hot body. Her cheeks, neck, and between the soft peaks. Anywhere where Aiko was scorchingly hot.
"Better." Witch Aiko wanted to take a nice bath and pass out, since she was greatly bothered by what she had just seen.
"Are you sure you don't want to rest?" Danji's worried eyes met Aiko's.
"Kiss me and I might feel better~" Witch Aiko teased with a tired expression, but she didn't expect that Danji would really kiss her lips.
"Better?" Danji smiled mischievously back.
"Almost. It felt like part of my head was being crushed." Witch Aiko stared at Danji's sizeable chest.
If Danji were not leaning forward, Aiko would be unable to see her face.
"They are quite nice~" Danji gave them a nice squeeze. "You can sleep on them later."
"I will accept that invitation." Witch Aiko flashed an adorable smile, making Danji giggle.
Danji helped Aiko stand up so that she could have a bath in the hot spring.
"But are you sure this is a good idea?" Danji didn't feel like it was wise for Aiko to have a bath in hot water.
"If it's not for too long." Witch Aiko nodded her head slowly.
"Very well..." Danji sighed gently. If Aiko said it like that, then it couldn't be helped. She would just listen to her wishes and scold her if Aiko went overboard.
Danji and Aiko moved to the dressing room that separated the hot spring from the outside.
This place is incredible.
Not only was it fully furnished, but even the clothing was of even higher quality than the Nightmare Spider Silk.
There was a see-through bathrobe inside the dressers. According to the images, you were supposed to wear it before getting into the hot spring.
"Will you wear it?" Danji observed the bathrobe and concealed her bleeding nose.
"You won't?" Witch Aiko already had that bathrobe on her.

"I approve!" Danji said excitedly as she passed out.
Witch Aiko caught her with Divine Sense. "Are you alright?" This bathrobe didn't conceal anything, so it was obvious Aiko was teasing Danji, but she didn't expect this kind of reaction.
