Admission Guidelines and Programs of Study
This section provides a summary of each university's admission requirements, including:
• basic requirements for admission;
• how the university will treat failed and repeated courses;
• when and how universities provide admission decisions, including early and conditional offers of admission; and

These charts summarize first-year program offerings at each Ontario university; they do not contain full course descriptions or details.

Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
If you attend a semestered school, you may receive an early conditional offer once your grades become available, if:
• you completed at least three 4U/M courses with an overall average equal to, or better than, the program cut-off; and
• you are enrolled in a sufficient number of courses in order to complete at least six 4U/M courses by the end of June.
Note:If you are marginally below the program cut-off, but your overall average in Grade 11 and 12 courses is 70% or higher, you may be considered for an early
offer of admission.
If you attend a non-semestered school, you may receive an early conditional offer once the Office of Admissions receives interim grades for at least six 4U/M
courses showing an interim average that is equal to, or greater than, the program cut-off.
If you do not receive an early conditional offer of admission, you will be considered on an individual and ongoing basis, as additional marks become available.If
you are not offered admission to your preferred program, you will automatically be considered for admission to an alternative program, depending on program
availability, and provided you meet the university entrance requirements. Algoma University has rolling admission; therefore, applications for September 2016 will
continue to be received and processed until the start of the semester.

We will consider the higher grade of the two attempts.
Timing and Process for Admission Decisions
We will begin to issue a select number of offers in December and will continue to make offers of admission through to May. Scholarship and co-op offers will
accompany offers of admission.
Consideration for early admission in December will be based on high academic standing on final 3U/M grades and registration in prerequisite 4U/M courses. A
very limited number of offers to high achieving students will be extended. In February, the majority of offers of admission will be based on a minimum of three final
or six interim 4U/M grades, as well as registration in prerequisite 4U/M courses.All offers will be conditional and subject to review based on subsequent
grades. All other offers will be based on the best six 4U/M grades (midterm/interim and finals), including prerequisite courses. If you completed six or more 4U/M
courses, you will be considered on the basis of your final grades. In the case of repeated courses, the higher grade will be used in the calculation of admission
averages without penalty.
You can expect to receive an offer of admission to only one program.Your highest choice listed for Brock is considered first when more than one Brock
program is indicated on your application. If you are not eligible for the first choice, consideration will be given to subsequent choices in the order of preference you
indicated. If you apply to only one Brock program and do not qualify, in most cases, consideration will be given for an alternative and related program. In most
cases if you apply for, but are not admitted to, a co-op program, you will automatically be considered for the regular, non co-op program.
