25 %ारा &द’ शि)य* का &योग करते .ए, पया(cid:17)वरण (सरं (cid:22)ण) िनयम, 1986 का और सशं ोधन करने के िलए िन0िलिखत
िनयम बनाती ह,ै अथा(cid:17)त ्:-
1. (1) इन िनयम* का नाम पया(cid:17)वरण (संर(cid:22)ण) संशोधन िनयम, 2018 ह।ै
(2) य ेराजप9 म: उनके &काशन क" तारीख को &वृ’ ह*गे।
2. पया(cid:17)वरण (सरं (cid:22)ण) िनयम, 1986 म,: अनसु ूची-। म:,-
(क) ''पे=ोल या (cid:1)करोसीन चािलत जनरेटर सेट* के िलए @व िन सीमा'' स े संबंिधत Aम सBं या 91 म,: ''&माणन िनकाय''
से संबंिधत पैराCाफ 8 म,: मद (6) के पE चात िनF निलि खत मद अ(cid:9) तGव(cid:17)H ट क" जाएगी, अथात(cid:17) ् :-
''(7) राH= ीय भौितक &योगशाला, नई (cid:1)द(cid:3)ल ी'';
(ख) ''डीजल चािलत जनरेटर सेट* के िलए @ विन सीमा'' स े संबंिधत Aम सBं या 94 म,: ''पहली जलु ाई, 2003 को या
इसके बाद िनGम(cid:17)त डीजी सेट* (1000 केवीए तक) के िलए @ विन क" सीमाN'' स े संबिं धत पैराCाफ 3 म,:

(cid:1)कये गए थे।
MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th January, 2018
G.S.R. 97(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 6 and 25 of the Environment
(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to
amend the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, in Schedule-l,-
(a) in serial numbers 91 relating to “Noise Limit for Generator Sets run with Petrol or Kerosene”, in
Paragraph 8 relating to “Certification body”, after item (6), the following item shall be inserted,
namely:-
“(7) National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.”;
(b) in serial numbers 94 relating to “Noise Limit for Generator Sets run with Diesel”, in paragraph 3
relating to “Limits of Noise for DG Sets (Upto 1000 KVA) manufactured on or after the 1st July,
2003”, in sub-paragraph 3.6 relating to “Authorised agencies for certification”, after item (vi), the
following item shall be inserted, namely:-
“(vii) National Physical Laboratory.”;
(c) in serial number 95A relating to “Genset run on dedicated Natural Gas(NG) or Liquid Petroleum
Gas (LPG)”, under the heading “B. Noise Limited”, in paragraph 3, after item (f), the following
item shall be inserted, namely:-
“(g)’National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.”;
(d) in serial number 95 B relating to “Genset run on Petrol and Natural Gas (NG) or Petrol and Liquid
Petroleum Gas(LPG)”, under the heading “B. Noise Limits”, in paragraph 2, after item (f), the
following item shall be inserted, namely:-

“(g)’National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi.”;
(e) in serial number 95 C relating to “Genset run on Diesel and Natural Gas (NG) or Diesel and
Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG)”, under the heading “B. Noise Limits”, in paragraph 3, after item (f),
the following item shall be inserted, namely:-
“(g)’National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi ”.
