His writing gives you an insight into the minds of drug users, peddlers, local people, people suffering from the drug menace, politicians and peddler running the trade and actively supporting it. Into the minds of young boys and girls on how they are affected, how they fought it back and also into the economic, social and political impact of the drugs. All these through the conversations he has narrated with different people. On a more interesting part there is a lot of reflection on his part, which is clear in the book and also he has included the raw designs of the campaigns which he had planned to tackle the drug issue in Punjab, which anyone can use and start work from a small community level to a state level.<span> </span></p><p>The other part by Shashi Kant gives you a historical as well as global perspective in explaining the drug trade in Punjab, so as to be able to relate to the what Anand has written.
