Ich freue mich, Ihnen, den interessierten Lesern, Dr. Krämer, sowie dem Team von le-tex publishing
die 3. Auflage des Bandes „Endokrine Chirurgie“ services.
im Rahmen des 3-bändigen Werkes „Praxis der
Viszeralchirurgie“ präsentieren zu können. In den Ich wünsche dem Leser nicht nur Erkenntnisge-
letzten 12 Jahren hat sich dieser Band nicht nur winn, sondern auch gelegentlich Freude beim Le-

sondern auch bei Internisten, Nuklearmedizinern,

teresse an Erkrankungen der endokrinen Organe, Marburg, im Herbst 2012
besonders den endokrinen Tumoren haben. Dies
ist der Tatsache geschuldet, dass nicht nur die ope-
rative Behandlung endokriner Tumoren im Fokus
dieses Bandes steht, sondern auch Pathophysio-
logie, Epidemiologie, Pathologie, Diagnostik und
konservative Behandlung.
Alle Kapitel wurden überarbeitet und auf den ak-
tuellen Stand gebracht. Dabei wurden zahlreiche
Kapitel von neuen Autoren völlig neu geschrieben.
Einige Kapitel wurden in diese 3. Auflage zusätzlich
aufgenommen. Neue Erkenntnisse und Entwick-
lungen in Diagnostik und Therapie endokriner
Erkrankungen, besonders endokriner Tumoren,
wurden berücksichtigt, z. B. in der biochemischen
Diagnostik von Über- und Unterfunktionszustän-
den oder der minimal-invasiven Chirurgie.
Die 3. Auflage markiert einen Generationswech-
sel in der Herausgeberschaft. Der Senior-Heraus-
geber tritt mit diesem Band zurück und legt die
Weiterentwicklung dieses Buches in die Hände von
Prof. Dr. Detlef Bartsch, dessen Funktion bei der
Herstellung dieses Bandes mit „Redaktion“ nur
unzureichend beschrieben ist. Er hat für große
Abschnitte des Buches die herausgeberische Ver-
antwortung mit dem Senior-Herausgeber geteilt.
Ich danke allen Autoren für ihre Mitarbeit, Frau
Martina Koch aus der Klinik für Viszeral-, Thorax-
und Gefäßchirurgie in Marburg für ihre mehr als
