They ran out of animals to hunt, a succession of crop failures, tribal wars – yes, they had ethnic cleansing even in those days – although it’s a modern term, they still did it back then too.” We followed the trail of the ditch for nearly three miles, and then decided to take the route back to the car. As we neared the car park, I turned to Simon. “Do you know what I’d like to do now? This place is really making me feel horny.
