DEDICATION
We gratefully dedicate this book to authors Philip Miele and Robert B. Stone.
Their wonderful talent for expression, along with their skill, effort, and sense of
caring, has opened the door to the alpha level and the spiritual dimension to mil-
lions of people around the world.
Bob Stone expressed the way many of us feel: ''When I see a shining light
that is not being properly disseminated, I am compelled to try to give it the greater
exposure that it merits. My additional goal in life is to be a public-relations man to
Jose Silva via my writings and tapes. If in so doing, I am also doing public rela-
tions for our Creator, so much the better."
We miss you, Bob. We miss you, Phil. Although you have moved on to new
assignments, we are grateful that you are still with us through your writings. Thank
you for doing such an outstanding job of fulfilling your mission during your time
here on earth.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
On behalf of Jose Silva, I want to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude
for the many people who have helped with this project.
The contributing authors have done far more than share their experiences so freely.
Every one of them has been there to help us when we've needed it.
It has been said that the biggest problems are given to the best problemsolvers, and
we have had some big challenges in the last couple of years. Every contributing
author in this book has answered the call. Most have helped without
Page 4
waiting to be called. Jose Silva said that the finest human beings
are those who correct problems without any expectation of
compensation, and all of our authors measure up to that standard
many times over.
If you have an opportunity to meet any of these authors or take a
course with them, by all means do soand treasure the experience.
You will be in the presence of one of the finest human beings on
the planet.
We also want to thank Ron Fry and the entire staff at Career Press,
especially Stacey Farkas, Jodi Brandon, Karen Wolf, and Michael
Lewis, who have been so patient and so generous with their help on
this project. It has been fun working with you again. We truly
appreciate your patience, support, encouragement, dedication to
excellence, and great talent.
Ron Fry must have a special talent for selecting outstanding
editors. From the time Jodi Brandon first read the manuscript, she
understood and appreciated the vision we had for this project, and
put in extra effort to make that vision a reality. These last few
weeks that we have worked together, Jodi has been more like a co-
author than an editor. She went beyond the call of duty, tolerating
my incessant attempts at humor and continually encouraging me. If
you don't like the book, blame meit was my idea to do it this way.
On the other hand, if you find it an enjoyable, enriching experience
getting to know Jose Silva through these pages, then send a big
thank-you to Jodi, because her talent, energy, and creative insights
made that vision a reality.
Jeff Herman, the world's best literary agent, has helped us spread
our message throughout the United States and around the world.
Thanks again, Jeff.
Regina McAloney has been a trusted friend and valued advisor on
this project for the last four years. Thank you for believing in us,
Regina, and for helping us.
We also want to thank Dr. Carlos Floresvega and the entire staff at
the Laredo VA outpatient clinic. His care and compassion have
meant as much to us as his medical competence. There are many
young doctors who could learn a lot from him.
