Project Title: “Photosensitizers Dynamic’s Study in Different Biological Model under Laser
Irradiation”

Research Responsibilities: I conducted variety of experiments for improvement of PDT
efficacy which might be significant contribution for cancer cure. Initially I focused on
optimization of PDT parameters like photosensitizers uptake versus time, light dose, loss in cell
viability, Reactive Oxygen Species test, Lipid Oxidation test towards various cancerous cell
model e.g. RD cells, HEK293, HepG2, Hela, Hep2C, Foreskin Fibroblast, Melanoma, Bone
marrow, MCF-7 and lung carcinoma cell model. At the end I analyzed and reported my data in
peer review International Journals.

Research Responsibilities: I explored potency of different Nanoparticles for Glucose and Urea
sensing and its role towards commercialized Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) Assembly. In
Addition, I used Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles for Glucose Detection and Magnetic Nanoparticles
for Urea sensing. Moreover, I explored bio- toxicity and photo toxicity of various nanoparticles
after calibrating PDT parameters for different malignant cell model. At Lund University,
Chemistry Department I employed the series of experiment to trace the absorption and emission
peaks of various individual and complex from of Nanomaterial.

Project Title: “Photodynamic Therapy and Laser Tissue Interaction”

Research Responsibilities: I investigated the threshold dose and depth of necrosis for applying
different PDT parameters like Diode Laser having 600 nm, 630 nm and 660 nm of visible light
individual and combination of mention light wavelengths by using liver model of Wistar rat.
Bio-distribution of Photofrin into Rat liver was confirmed by applying Fluorescence
Spectroscopy y shape apparatus in which second harmonic Nd: Yag Laser was employed.
