ThisAISCvolumecontainsthepaperspresentedattheInternationalConferenceon
Artificial Intelligence and Evolutionary Computations in Engineering Systems
(ICAIECES 2017) held during April 27–29, 2017, at Madanapalle Institute of
TechnologyandScience,Madanapalle,AndhraPradesh,India.ICAIECES2017is
an international conference aiming at bringing together the researchers from aca-
demia and industry to report and review the latest progresses in the cutting-edge
researchonvariousresearchareas ofelectroniccircuits,powersystems,renewable
energy applications, image processing, computer vision and pattern recognition,
machinelearning,dataminingandcomputationallifesciences,managementofdata
includingbigdataandanalytics,distributedandmobilesystemsincludinggridand
cloud infrastructure, information security and privacy, VLSI, antenna, intelligent
manufacturing, signal processing, intelligent computing, soft computing, Web
security, privacy and optimization, communications, smart wireless and sensor
networks,networkingandinformationsecurity,mobilecomputingandapplications,
industrial automation and MES, cloud computing, green IT, and finally to create
awareness about these domains to a wider audience of practitioners.
ICAIECES 2017 received 250 paper submissions from India and five foreign
countries.Allpaperswerepeer-reviewedbyexperts,andcommentshavebeensent
to the authors of accepted papers. Finally, 69 papers were accepted for oral pre-
sentation in the conference. This corresponds to an acceptance rate of 31% and is
intended to maintain the high standards of the conference proceedings. The papers
includedinthisAISCvolumecoverawiderangeoftopicsinintelligentcomputing
andalgorithmsandtheirreal-timeapplicationsinproblemsfromdiversedomainsof
science and engineering.
TheconferencewasinauguratedbyDr.M.Y.S.Prasad,IndianScientistandthe
former Director of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The conference
featured distinguished keynote speakers as follows: Dr. Ramazan Bayindir, Gazi
University; Dr. Roman Senkerik, Tomas Bata University in Zlin; Dr. Bhekisipho
Twala, University of Johannesburg; Dr. Sanjeevi Kumar Padmanaban, University
of Johannesburg; Dr. Ranjan Kumar Behera, IITP; Dr. Subhransu Sekhar Dash,
