This year’s program is designed to benefit everyone from those with a
casual interest to seasoned veterans. We have arranged parallel tracks
of interest that allow for the fulfillment of individual needs and can
be customized to cover multiple areas of interest. Our keynote and
featured speakers are world leaders in dental education and research.
Following our opening session, highlighted by past president of the
American Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Sam Low, you can continue
a periodontal track highlighted by one of our Dr. Eugene Seidner
Student Scholarship award nominees, Dr. Chanthoeun Chui, or visit
a practice management track highlighted by marketing authority
Paul Herreras, or learn new caries detection, implant, and endodontic
techniques in our other afternoon track.
Our second day is opened by world-renowned researcher, Dr. Rella
Christensen, who is presenting for the first time her recent research on Chuck Hoopingarner, DDS
the use of lasers in periodontal therapy. This is followed by a hard tissue
and restorative track highlighted by Dr. Akira Aoki and Dr. Shigeyuki
Nagai who will cover a broad field from implants to aesthetics. There
is also a hygiene track in addition to the pediatric dentistry and
orthodontics track featuring Dr. Larry Kotlow and Dr. Fred Margolis. Our
Dr. Eugene Seidner Pediatric Student Scholar, Dr. J. Ryan Blankenship, is
presenting during the pediatric session.
Saturday, in our general session, we will learn from Dr. John
Featherstone and Dr. Peter Rechmann on the continuing research
efforts in laser technology and discovery, as well as bridge into the
realm of dermatology with Dr. Pat Allen to learn about fractional
therapy for oral depigmentation. Our final day continues as three
tracks of distinctly different natures. Our dental team track features
Leslie Canham, RDA with her hygiene and safety insights. The lasers
of today and tomorrow track provides updates on many current and
future research projects. However, the main track of the day is the
photobiomodulation or low level laser therapy (LLLT) track featuring
internationally acclaimed authorities James Carroll and Roberta Chow,
PhD. This evidence-based track is appropriate for all levels
of experience.
There are hands-on participation workshops every day and our annual
Standard and Advanced Proficiency courses and testing.
Don’t forget the opening Tales and Ales vendor experience on
Wednesday and the closing Seidner benefit social on Saturday. Above
all, have a great time and do not hesitate to contact me if you have any
questions about this exciting experience.
Sincerely,
Chuck Hoopingarner, DDS
