ThemissionoftheAvonHighSchoolisinstructionandlearningforallstudents.Itisourresponsibilityto
helpstudentsreachtheirfullpotentialandmasterchallengingcurricula.Studentswillbetaughttheim-
portanceofacademicexcellence,criticalthinking,andcommunicationskillsrequiredforthe21stcentury.
Inaddition,ourstaffwillfosteranenvironmentofpersonalintegrity,responsibility,empathyforothers,
andrespectforculturaldiversity.Inacollaborativeeffortwithcolleagues,students,parents,andthecom-
munity,theAvonHighSchoolstaffwillmonitorstudentachievementthroughstateandlocalassessments
andrespondwithasystemicplanofinterventiontomeettheneedsofstudentswhoarefailingtomeet
rigorousstandards.
