It traces the building of the WFL on a weak foundation, focusing mainly on the New York/Charlotte Stars franchise. While it delivers on one level, showing why the WFL was doomed from the start, it fails on another. The league's first, and only, complete season is glossed over as if the author decided he had already written too much about the creation of the league and the early interworking of the Stars and it was time to wrap up the book.Despite its minor shortcoming, it's a must for WFL buffs ... if you can find it.
