SURREY UFO REPORT
Miss Karan Cheema is a student at Royal Holloway
College,U niversityo f London, living in Athlone Hall at Egham,
near Staines,S urrey.
At 9.25 p.m. on Thursday 21 November 1996 she looked
out of her third floor and saw, about 200 feet away and 50 feet
above the ground, a brightly lit object with "a yellow-white
aura, a kind of glow" around it. ·Excited and intrigued by the
phenomenon,s he took out her camera and made a flash exposure.
The glow around the object was immediatelys witchedo ff, leaving
only two lights visible. The object had previouslys hown four
lights, some flashing,b ut it then continuedi ts slow progress
diagonallya cross her field of view at an estimated2 0 m.p.h.,
until it eventuallyd isappearedb ehind surrounding trees.
The episode lasted about six minutes and the object
remained throughout totally silent. Though the witness had
continued to operate her camera, none of the exposures were
satisfactoryw hen the film was developed.
Though she describedt he object as "a disc-likes hape,
almost typicalo f UFOs", its behaviours eems more characteristci
of the Flying Trianglesw hich have been frequentlyr eported of
