OscarBarberà isAssociateProfessorattheUniversitatdeValència(UV).Hehas
obtainedhisBA,MAandPh.D.attheUniversitatAutònomadeBarcelona(UAB).
He is Lecturer at several Spanish universities (UAB, UOC) and visiting at several
European universities such as the LSE, Firenze, Edinburgh, Exeter and Lausanne.
Hismain areasof interestarepartypolitics,decentralization andpoliticalelitesin
both Spain and Europe. His latest contributions in journals are published in South
EuropeanPoliticsandSociety,ComparativeEuropeanPolitics,ZeitschriftfürVergle-
ichendePolitikwissenschaft,theRevistadeEstudiosPolíticosandEuropeanPolitical
Science.
GiuliaSandri is Associate Professor atthe Catholic University of Lille.She was
previouslyResearchFellowatChristChurchandattheDepartmentofPoliticsand
InternationalRelationsoftheUniversityofOxford.Hermainresearchinterestsare
party politics, quality of democracy and political behavior. She recently published
inPoliticsandPolicy,ActaPolitica,ComparativeEuropeanPolitics,ReligionState
and Society, Ethnopolitics, European Political Science and Regional and Federal
Studies.
PatriciaCorrea isLecturerinpoliticsandinternationalrelationsatAstonUniver-
sity, Birmingham, UK. She received her Ph.D. at the Universitat Autònoma de
Barcelona, Spain, and was Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of
Exeter, UK. Her main research interests are intra-party dynamics, party member-
shipandterritorialpolitics.HerresearchappearsinComparativePoliticalStudies,
ComparativePolitics,EuropeanPoliticalScienceReviewandRegionalandFederal
Studies.
