The majority of studies used medical imaging like mammography (65.2%), ultrasound (47.8%), and MRI (30.4%) to monitor patients. The review found a low prevalence of complications - fat necrosis in 5.31% of patients, benign lesions like cysts or calcifications in 8.78%, infections in 0.96% and local cancer recurrence in 1.69%. The review concluded that AFG appears to be an oncologically safe procedure with low morbidity for breast cancer patients
