Plant srecognized as Lipari skoneana (Naka iN)akai ex W. T. Lee (Orchidac eian Jea)pan and Korea
is morphologically distin cftrom the type specimen ofthat species in the fbllowin gpeints :flewers
sparsely arranged (vs c.losely arranged in the type); apex of anther cap mucronate (vs .beaked) ,lat-
eral sepals twisting and enfblding the li p(vs e.xtending to the apex of the lip) .Since these plant dso
not correspond with any known species, it is describe das a new species, Liparis koreojaponica T.he
taxonomic status ofL, koreana is reviewed.
