Heroes come in many shapes, sizes and forms. Some heroes are celebrities and meant to be looked as stars
amidst the galaxy or constellations. But some heroes are meant to be seen on earth and not necessarily on sky.
They outstand the passage of time, build institution, save life, kindle hope against all odds. Some protect us,
while some of them fight for us. Some are outspoken and bold, some are visible who stand out, while some are
unsung and remain unknown. But all that they do, their tales, convictions, relentless endeavours inspire us,
encourage us, amaze us and make us think about unbounded human potential.
At our world in Apollo Hospitals Dhaka we have both sung and unsung heroes. They hand in hand work as the
invisible and unseen pillars that run the hospital to become a centre of excellence.
We have supremely skilled Consultants and Physicians as everyday heroes; but our service requires more than
the doctors to make the hospital what it stands for. It takes the unparallel yet sincere effort of many individuals
to keep our doors open at all times, to be prepared for any emergency and to come to the aid of anyone in need
of medical assistance. If the doctors are at the heart of our organization, than these individuals are the other
vital organs. The Nurses, the Lab Assistants, the Technical hands, the Food and Beverage people, the Patient
Care attendants, the Customer Care officers, the Security guards and above all the Management people – each
function in harmony to ensure that we are able to provide the best health care possible. All make the paradigm
of “Our Heroes” fighting to save lives every day.
We hereby, take the opportunity to tell the tales of these ‘sung’ and ‘unsung’ heroes.
