This book is for your heart… In this book Yuri makes you ask yourself… Can I
learn to trust something more than my own mind? Like Alice in Wonderland and her
steps through the mirror am I really so close and still not seeing: ‘IT’ has been within
me all the time? Why do I insist on hanging on to my mind’s guidance when it really
knows so little about Life, the Universe and all that it contains? Can I quiet my mind
long enough to give my heart the first say in the rest of my life’s journey? I have
found this to be a priceless exercise. And I am now embracing this journey that I have
always been on but for the first time with an embracing of no limits to the volume of
love I can contain. I’ve turned the mirror around and I see my inner self.

I want to tell you that Freedom Technique really works. It takes some effort but
it's worth it. Things started happening to me — things I wanted but was afraid of and
thought impossible to happen. It was something I wished for during the whole
summer. And it came without any work on my part. It just came. And I was able to
take advantage of every moment without thinking of the past or future. Really, it was
so exciting to see how things came together in a perfect manner. It's like suddenly I
was able to complete the hardest puzzle.

For me the best thing about Freedom Technique was the discovery of certain very
real, concrete and key psychological methods, the practice of which can only but lead
to increased awareness, love and to result in healing, success, and enlightenment.
These methods take a very balanced and gentle approach, helping to calm and work
with feelings we would rather run away from. In doing so, one learns to become one's
own full-time psychologist, an enormous growth step for almost everyone. With
proper practice, it can lead to the emergence of the ideal inner parent who binds up the
wounds and dresses the scars of our not-so-easy lives.
But the book has more than just psycho-therapeutic value. Much care and
attention is devoted to placing the Freedom Technique method into the center of an
entire religious world view. This holistic approach leads the reader beyond just himself
and his problems and beyond the questions, hurts, and limitations which mere
psychology could never answer, heal, or transcend.
By offering a horizon of utter fulfillment, Freedom Technique strengthens and
gives courage to readers to start on the path of awareness and love critical to healing,
success, and wholeness.

About the author
- If I speak in the tongues of humans and angels but have no love, I have
become a reverberating gong or a clashing cymbal.
- If I have the gift of prophecy and can understand all secrets and every
form of knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains
but have no love, I am nothing.
- Even if I give away all that I have and surrender my body so that I may
boast but have no love, I get nothing out of it.
- Love is always patient.
- Love is always kind.
- Love is never envious or vaunted up with pride. Nor is she conceited, and
never is she rude.
- Never does Love think of self or ever get annoyed.
- Love never is resentful, never glad with sin, but always glad to side with
truth.
-Love bears up under everything, believes the best in all, there is no limit to
her hope, and never will she fall.
- Love never fails. Now if there are prophecies, they will be done away
with. If there are tongues, they will cease. If there is knowledge, it will be
done away with.
- Right now three things remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of
these is love.

From the Author
Ah, moon of my delight, who knows no wane.
The Moon of Heaven is rising once again:
How often hereafter rising shall she look
Through the same garden after me – in vain!
Omar Khayyam poems translated by Edward Fitzgerald unless noted otherwise.
Awakening is an unusual state. At the same time this state is very natural to every
human being. It is a purely personal experience beyond any comprehension of the
mind and beyond words.
The day before my birthday I wrote to my friend Alexander:
“Today is a sad day, because tomorrow is my birthday and it seems I am as far
from Freedom as I was years ago, when I have made my first step on the path. Many
years flew by, came and were gone unusual experiences, echoes of spiritual voices,
revelations and intellectual understanding of the masters, a breeze of Freedom…”
Through the window are snow-capped mountains of the Sierra Nevada Range
looming larger and Blue Jays are dancing around manger.
Winter.
Knowing that waiting is pointless, somewhere deep in my heart a flame of faith
and love is dancing: spring comes when it comes…”
My birthday was probably the most difficult day ever. Outside, huge snowflakes
whirled down slowly and it looked like the sun left gloomy skies forever.
Early in the morning, emotions assaulted me without mercy. I did not experience
such a vicious attack since a very long time ago. As a matter of fact, I was convinced
there was almost no negativity left within…. The assault continued all day long and
into the night…
Determined, I kept welcoming assaulting emotions, immediately letting them go.
But there was something very unusual about this fierce emotional flood. This thought
several times surfaced in my mind, but its real meaning I came to understand only on
the morning of the following day.
It was a peaceful morning, very peaceful indeed… A large bird flew outside. With
my eyes, I followed its flight and suddenly froze, enchanted with a panorama opening
before me.
Mountains stood still as if waiting for something unusual to happen. I felt very
peaceful. There were no thoughts either, just emptiness filled with solemnity of
