INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORDERING PARTS
Read Carefully Before Ordering
I. Always state shop number of press, which may be found stamped on
side frame, feeder's side, under the cylinder shaft, (see Plate No. I); also on
corner of the bed. If shop number can not be found, give size of press bed
and style of machine, i. e., trade name.
2. Never order by numbers found cast or stamped upon parts.
3. After finding part wanted, always refer to the Numerical Index to be
sure that no mistake is made.
4. If part wanted cannot be easily found on any of the plates, it may
be found by referring to the Classified Index. If the part is not listed in the
catalogue, send a drawing of it, with dimensions; or, an imprint made by
giving the part wanted a light coat of printers' ink and pressing firmly upon
a sheet of paper, taking care to make a distinct outline and to show exact
location of holes, if any. A still better way is to send the broken pieces to
the factory; in some cases this is necessary, especially on old machines.
5. State how to ship; whether by mail, express or freight.
6. Terms of payment are net cash, thirty days, f. o. b. factory,
New London, Connecticut.
